Jacob Oster, 80


Las Vegas, NV — Jacob "Jack" Oster, 80, a retired pharmacist, of Las Vegas, formerly of Peabody, Mass., entered into rest on Wednesday, January 1, 2014, in Henderson, Nev. He was born on June 18, 1933, to Sidney and Pearl Oster. He had lived in Las Vegas for the past 15 years. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and served during the Korean Conflict. He was a Mason and a Shriner.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Leslie (Kanosky); sister, Edith Ziskind; and brothers, Alvin Oster and Charles Rudnick. Survivors include his sons, Jay, Steven (Randi) Oster; grandchildren, Brett, Gary and Matthew Oster; sister, Bella Brickman; and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Private services and Shiva will be observed by the family. Interment will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City, Nev. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jacob's name may be made to the Shriner's Childrens Hospital.
