Janet H. (Hosker) Monroe


West Boxford — Janet H. (Hosker) Monroe, 67, of West Boxford, died on January 2, 2014, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward W. Monroe, and the daughter of the late Rayford P. Hosker Sr. and the late Helen B. (Porter) Hosker of Lynn.

She attended St. Pius V School and St. Mary’s Girls High School in Lynn, and graduated from Salem State College.

After working in Boston for several years, she became for many years the office administrator at Beverly Surgical Associates.

She was the sister of Rayford P. Hosker Jr. of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and his wife, Marilyn, and Thomas J. Hosker of Reston, Va., and his wife, Claire. She was the aunt of Richard P. Hosker, Elizabeth (Hosker) Kitts and Meagan A. Hosker; and the great-aunt of Matthew Colin Kitts.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral will be held from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., Lynn, on Saturday, January 11, at 8 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in St. Pius V Church, Lynn, at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
