Peabody — Mrs. Leda Reiff Good, 88, of Brooksby Village, Peabody, beloved wife of Theodore D. Good, died January 7, 2014, in the Lahey Clinic Medical Center, Peabody.
Born in Lewisberry, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Annie (Burger) Reiff. She was raised and educated in Manchester, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Good was a graduate of Kutztown University where she earned a degree in Education. Leda continued her schooling and received her Master’s in Education from Penn State University.
A devoted educator, Mrs. Good began her long career, as a teacher, at the Mount Rose Elementary School in York, Pa., where she taught for many years before retiring in 1982.
A resident of York, Pennsylvania for many years, Mrs. Good was a life member of the National Education Association, a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church (York) and, while living at Brooksby, a member of the Protestant Faith Community. Leda enjoyed crafts and tending to her garden and plants. She was a loving wife, mother and educator and will be deeply missed by her family, friends and many students.
Leda is survived by her husband of 53 years, Theodore; a daughter, Jill Good of Jamaica Plain; two nieces, Tana Reiff of Lancaster, Pa., and Annette Reiff of Harrisburg, Pa. She was also the sister of the late Richard Reiff of Manchester, Pa.
