Salem, MA — Michael P. Gannon, age 65, died Sunday evening, October 21, 2012, at the North Shore Medical Center – Salem Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Boston, son of the late George W. and Olive (Kingsbury) Gannon, Michael was raised in Lexington and graduated Lexington High School in the class of 1965. Following High School, Michael graduated from Massachusetts Bay Community College in Watertown.
Mr. Gannon was employed with Salem State University for the past 12 years.
Surviving him are two sons, Brian P. Gannon, Sean R. Gannon and his wife Deanna and two grandsons, Conor and Brady Gannon, all of Brighton; four brothers and sisters, James R. Gannon and his wife Judi of Florida; Gail G. Kelley and her husband Arthur of Stoneham; Donald R. Berry of Florida; Barbie Adzima and her husband Jeff of San Diego, CA; his good friend and co-worker Jon Sverker of Lynn and many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: At Michael’s request, there are no public services. A private family service will be held in the spring at the Bourne National Cemetery on Cape Cod.
