Salem — Harry A. Pratt, 79, of Salem, formerly of Danvers, died Saturday evening at the Hunt Nursing & Rehab. Center in Danvers following a lengthy illness. He was the loving husband of Kathleen (Connelly) Pratt.
Born on July 13, 1933, he was the son of the late Harry and Wilhelmina (Semas) Pratt. Harry served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.
For 28 years, Harry was employed by the Town of Danvers as the mechanic for the Danvers Police Department.
A longtime active communicant of Saint Alphonsus Church, he was dedicated to his family and his work.
In addition to his wife, he leaves four sons and their spouses, two daughters, several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours are Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m., in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 14, 2013, at 9 a.m., in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
