Peabody — Rita (Licciardi) Wronkowski, 84, of Peabody, died on Monday morning in Groveland, following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Charles Wronkowski.
Born in Lawrence, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Carolina (Grande) Licciardi. She was raised and educated in Lawrence, and was a graduate of Lawrence High School, Class of 1948. She had lived in Peabody for over 55 years.
She was a member of the National American Retired Federal Employees and served as sergeant of arms. Rita enjoyed volunteering and was a longtime member for over 20 years at the Peabody Community Life Center, where she taught crocheting and donated baby blankets and sweaters, and also lap blankets for veterans
She is survived by her son, William Wronkowski of El Paso, Texas; her two daughters, Karen Percival of Groveland, and Tina Wronkowski of Concord, N.H.; her grandchildren, Amy Phaneuf, Stefanie Cordeiro and Jason Percival; and also by her two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Maurice, David, Willy, Terence, and France Licciardi, and Evelyn Coco.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her duneral service will be held on Thursday, at 11 a.m., at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
