Beverly — Mrs. Barbara A. (Crombie) Roberts, 61, beloved wife of Leonard F. Roberts, died on Monday, August 26, 2013, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, surrounded by her family.
Born and raised in Beverly, she was the daughter of Shirley (Phelps) Crombie of Beverly and the late John “Jack” Crombie. She received her education in the Beverly School System and graduated from Beverly High School.
Barbara had been employed for 31 years at Flair Cleaners in North Beverly, and at the time of her retirement, she held the position of shirt unit manager.
In addition to her husband with whom she shared 27 years of marriage, and her mother, she is survived by three daughters, Ann Bamford and her husband, Andrew, of Beverly, Kimberly Lloyd and her late husband, James Lloyd of Beverly, and Cheryl Engdhal and her husband, Carl, of Salem; three grandchildren, Kyle Bamford, Allison Bamford and Kristen Anthony; two sisters, Patricia Sanidas and her husband, Peter, of Danvers, and Nancy Robinson and her husband, Ed, of Beverly; several nieces and nephews; and her dear cat, “Grey.”
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be held graveside at the North Beverly Cemetery, on Friday, August 30, at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
