DANVERS — Mr. Robert Edward Breen, 79, of Danvers, beloved husband of the late Margaret Breen, died unexpectedly, January 22, 2013, at his home.
Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Edward and Grace (Addison) Breen. He was raised and educated in Medford and was a graduate of Malden Catholic High School. Mr. Breen continued his education earning his certified electricians degree and license from Franklin Institute.
An honorably discharged veteran, Robert served his country as a member of the United States Navy during the Korean War.
Mr. Breen had been employed at Raytheon as an electrician for over 40 years until the time of his retirement in 1999.
A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Robert was dedicated to his family and was a passionate Boston Red Sox supporter. He will be deeply missed.
Robert is survived by his daughters, Nancy Breen of Danvers, Judy DiSciullo and her husband Stephen of Danvers and Amy Couture and her husband Steven of Danvers, his son, Robert E. Breen Jr., and his wife Kerri of Danvers, his grandchildren, Rachel, Cassandra, Marissa, Ashley, Michael, Nicolas and Isabella and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Kenneth Breen.
ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral will be held from the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St. (Rte. 62), Danvers, Saturday at 10 A.M. followed by his funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, Conant St., Danvers, at 11 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Visiting hours Friday from 4 to 8 P.M.
