Beverly — Mathilde G. (Sultzbach) Brennan, 86, died Sunday, January 20, 2013, in the Seacoast Nursing & Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness. She was the wife of the late Frederick W. Brennan who died in December 2008.

Born in Salem on June 3, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Sydney and Eva (Locke) Sultzbach and was a graduate of Salem High School. She had resided in Beverly for over forty years before retiring to Virginia Beach in 2000 and returned to Beverly in 2010.

She is survived by her children, Dr. William Brennan and his wife, Nancy of Haddonfield, NJ, Patricia Glasser and her husband, James of Beverly and Richard Brennan and his husband, Ronald Hornsby, Jr. of Norfolk, VA; four grandchildren, Janet Glasser and her husband, Jeremy Satchell, David Glasser and his wife, Reilly, Jeffrey Brennan and his wife, Lisa and Lori Brennan; three great-grandchildren, Ryan Melanson and Jonathan and Michael Brennan; a brother-in-law, Dominic Carnevale; a sister-in-law, Muriel Sultzbach and many nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be privately held at the convenience of the family. There are no visiting hours.
