Georgetown — Roland C. Codair, 79, of Georgetown, Mass., died March 26, 2014, at his home. Roland was born in Danvers, Mass., June 7, 1934, to the late Raymond and Lillian (Madison) Codair.
He served with the United Sates Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict and received the Purple Heart. Roland worked at GTE Sylvania for 38 years and most recently was head of maintenance for the VFW in Georgetown, Mass. He loved to be outdoors landscaping and enjoyed repairing anything that needed to be fixed.
Roland was married in 1956 to his loving wife, Patricia A. (Gatchell) Codair of Georgetown, Mass. He is also survived by his sons, Douglas Codair and his wife, Kymberly, of West Newbury, Mass., and Daniel Codair and his wife, Wanda, of Bradford, Mass.; daughters, Deborah and her husband, Neil Sullivan, of Nashua, N.H., Donna and her husband, Arthur Watson, of Derry, N.H., Darlene and her husband, Steve Ring, of Haverhill, Mass., Diane and her husband, Gifford Russell, of Georgetown, Mass., and Denise and her husband, Scott Rice, of Plaistow, N.H.; 23 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
