Salem — Shirley Ann (Reagan) Saxonis, age 84, wife of the late Peter W. Saxonis, died unexpectedly Monday, April 1, 2013, at home.
Born in Salem, the daughter of the late David and Daisy (Grant) Reagan, she attended Salem schools. A devoted wife and mother, she loved her family. Mrs. Saxonis was a great cook and well known for her baking and cake decorating. She also enjoyed classic movies, visiting her son in Albany and going on day trips in and around New England.
She is survived by a son William “Bill” Saxonis of Albany, N.Y.; two brothers, Ronald Reagan of Beverly and David Reagan of Lynn and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister Janice Reagan.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013, at 9:45 a.m. from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St. (corner of North St.) Salem, to be followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m., in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 290 North St., Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery Salem.
