John R. “Linky” Boylan, Jr., 57, of Peabody died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, February 2, 2012.
John also known as “Linky” was born in Salem on August 31, 1954, son of Grace M. (Pasquale) Boylan and the late John R. Boylan. He was raised in Peabody and graduated from Peabody High School in 1972. He attended Wentworth Institute in Boston for 2 years where he excelled at welding and was a lifelong resident of Peabody.
John was employed for 35 years as a welder at the Goodrich Corp. at Centennial Park in Peabody. Linky had an unconditional love for his parents and made sure that they were well cared for at all times. He was a licensed real estate agent, an avid weightlifter, enjoyed playing baseball in his youth and remained an avid baseball and football fan, riding his prized Harley Davidson motorcycle, painting and restoring almost anything for family and friends.
In addition to his loving mother of Peabody, Linky is survived by 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Diane M. and Richard J. Bernard of Gloucester, and Carol Ann Boylan of Salem; 2 nephews, Christopher M. Boylan of Salem and Joseph A. Sassone of Gloucester; many aunts, uncles, cousins, co-workers and riding friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 10 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 16 Church St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
