Boxford — Luigi A. Conza, age 93, of Boxford, formerly of Lynn, died on Thursday, October 17, 2013, after a brief illness, he was the husband of Rosemarie (Dincecco) Conza, with whom he shared 66 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Lynn, he was the son of the late Michael and Hannah (Lewis) Conza. He attended Lynn schools and was a graduate of Lynn English High School, Class of 1941. Prior to moving to Boxford 10 years ago, Luigi had lived in Lynn for his entire life.
A proud United States Marine Corps Veteran of WWII, he had served in the Pacific Theatre with the 7th Marine Regiment.
Luigi was a bricklayer and member of the Bricklayer and Allied Craftsmen Union Local #3.
He enjoyed sports, and traveling, and was a member of the former American Legion Post 291.
In addition to his wife, Luigi is survived by three children; Gail Marino of Boxford, Celeste Hovannisian and her husband, Paul, of Pepperell, and Michael Conza and his wife, Cindy, of Nottingham, N.H.; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the father-in-law of the late David Marino, and was also predeceased by five siblings.
ARRANGEMENTS: A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. in the Solimine Landergan and Richardson Funeral Home, 67 Ocean St., Route 1A, Lynn. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visitation on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
