Sean Patrick Crowley, 50

Maui, Hawaii — Sean Patrick Crowley, 50, of Maui, Hawaii, our beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend, died suddenly on December 12, 2013. Born July 7, 1963, in Albany, Ga., Sean lived in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, New York, Hawaii, and even, for short times, in Russia and England.

He was a 1981 graduate of Phoenixville Area H.S in Pennsylvania and a 1985 graduate of Swarthmore College, also in Pennsylvania, where he was an All-Conference football player. Sean majored in economics and political science. After a successful career on Wall Street, he spent several happy years living in his hometown of Marblehead, Mass., and then in Maui, Hawaii. He was so good to friends and family who enjoyed his engaging laughter and, at times, his political and sports debates. He was passionate about many things; reading, history, religion, his Irish heritage, literature, music and the Boston sports teams.

We will miss his vibrant personality and remember fondly family Christmas parties, meeting relatives in Ireland together, trips on Marblehead Harbor, cheering at football games, and many laughs and great times along the way.

Sean is survived by his parents, John G. and Johannah (Hammond) Crowley of Marblehead; his brother, Tim (Timmy) Crowley, and sister-in-law, Kim of Marblehead; and his sister, Christine Crowley Nylund, and brother-in-law, David Nylund of Peachtree City, Ga. He also leaves seven nieces and nephews, Micaela, James, Emilie, and Rebecca Nylund, and Hannah, Paige, and Seamus Crowley. His far-reaching extended family includes many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
