Salem — Bella Tournas, 95, of Salem, died on Sunday afternoon at the Peabody Glen Healthcare Center, following a brief illness.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Helen (Christakos) Tournas. She was a lifelong resident of Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School.
Bella was employed for over 30 years as an assembler for GTE Sylvania in Salem, before retiring many years ago. She enjoyed spending time with her family and enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her brother, William Tournas of Peabody; and by several nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, James, Charles, Angelo, Peter, Aspasia, and Pauline Tournas and Loretta McIntyre.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by her funeral service at 11 a.m., at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
