Danvers, MA — Mrs. Sandra J. (Picillo) Miller, 71, of Danvers, beloved wife of Paul F. Miller, died peacefully on May 10, 2014, at Ledgewood Nursing Home in Beverly, unexpectedly, after a prolonged illness.
Born in Malden, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Carmela (Lumia) Picillo. She was raised and educated in Malden and was a graduate of Bishop Cheverus School of Malden, Class of 1960.
Mrs. Miller began her professional career as an administrative assistant with the B & M Railroad. Upon her marriage to her beloved Paul, she became the business manager of her husband's Wall and Tile company. She was dedicated to her family and stayed at home to raise her children, and until the time of her illness, she had been employed as a pharmacist technician with CVS at the downtown Danvers location, for over 18 years. She is remembered fondly by all her colleagues and customers.
A loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, Sandra enjoyed spending her time bowling, playing bingo, and reading. She enjoyed staying connected with friends and family via social media, and was known for her love of Elvis Presley's music.
Yet, above all else, her family was paramount. From weddings, birthdays, holidays, and cookouts, Sandra always relished the opportunity to spend time with her family. She will be missed for her devotion to her husband, Paul, her daughter, Melissa, and her granddaughter, Jayden. Additionally, she loved her sisters.
Sandra is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Paul Miller of Danvers; her daughter, Melissa J. Nardone and her husband, Bryan of Danvers; her son, Michael Miller of Middleton; her granddaughter, Jayden Lapointe of Danvers; her sisters, Marguerite Picillo-Gonsalves and her partner, Ralph Scibelli of Melrose, and Pam Picillo-Hirtle and her husband, Peter Levine of Malde; her nieces and nephew, Nicole Hirtle, Angela and Joseph Falzarano; her grand-niece and grand-nephew, Lola and Christian Falzarano; her aunt, Doris DiGiammarino; and many loving and dear cousins and extended family and friends.
