Formerly of Beverly Farms — Ingrid (Coggin) Chruniak, wife of the late Gregory H. Chruniak, died on May 18, 2014, in Beverly, surrounded by her loving family. Ingrid was the daughter of the late Esther (Stolpe) and John Coggin Sr. She was brought up in Rockport and Lynn, and moved to Beverly Farms, where she had lived for 45 years before moving to Georgetown almost 10 years ago. She graduated from Lynn English High School and attended Salem Teachers College. For 30 years, Ingrid was a secretary at Beverly Hospital. Before going back to work, she was the secretary of the Farms-Pride Community Center, co-chairman of FPCC Blood Drives, election clerk of Ward 6-1 for 31 years, Brownie leader, and secretary of Memorial Methodist Church for 11 years. Ingrid was also involved in serving meals at the Methodist Church for the areas homeless population.
Ingrid is survived by her daughter, Janice Chruniak of Salem; her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Laurie Chruniak of Beverly; and her daughter and son-in-law, Ann Marie and Robert Harrington of Georgetown. Ingrid is also survived by eight grandchildren, Daniel Chruniak of Beverly, Jeff Chruniak of Salem, Thomas Chruniak of Williamsville Vt., Jennifer and husband Paul Fisher of Pelham, N.H., Timothy Liporto of Beverly, Karrie and husband Alok Kapoor of Newton, Andrew Liporto of Stoneham, and Allison Brucker of Haverhill. Ingrid had four great-grandchildren, Sara and Katelyn Fisher, Stone Liporto, and Ellie Kapoor; and four step-grandchildren, Robert and William Harrington, and Ashley and Steven Stilwell. Ingrid is survived by siblings, William Coggin of Topsfield, and John Coggin Jr. of Lowell. She was also the sister of the late Anne Levitsky, Norma Adams, Ruth Wood, Ray Coggin, and Robert Coggin.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral service will be celebrated in the Memorial United Methodist Church, 2 Dane Street, Beverly, on Thursday, May 22, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, North Beverly, will be on Wednesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Beverly Farms Cemetery.
