Danvers — Janet (LaRoche) Tropeano, 78, passed away on May 28, 2014, in Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. She was the beloved wife of Richard E. Tropeano, with whom he shared 59 years of marriage.
Born in Malden on November 11, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Trapp) LaRoche. Janet was raised and educated in Malden and graduated from Malden High School. She went on to North Shore Community College, studying accounting. Janet had enjoyed the art program at the Danvers Senior Center.
Besides her husband, Richard, she is survived by three daughters, Lisa Tropeano-Trinagale of Wakefield, Susan Tropeano and her husband, John Lovatt of Danvers, and Diann Tropeano Sanborn of Danvers; six grandchildren, Lauren and James Tringale, Zachary Tropeano-Lovatt, and Drew, Zoe and Will Sanborn; a great-grandson, Luka Tringale; and she is also survived by her sister, Olive Izzo of Pennsylvania. She was predeceased by her brother, Donald LaRoche.
