ROWLEY, MA — James Walsh, 80, of Rowley, passed away early Sunday morning, June 8, 2014. He was predeceased by his wife, Dolores M. (Cunha) Walsh.
Jim was born in East Boston on January 15, 1934, to his late parents Joseph B. Walsh and Mary (Chase) Walsh.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War, having achieved the rank of Engineer 2, and served aboard the USS Staten Island and the USS Edisto.
He retired as machinist from San-Tron in 1998. Jim was a member of the Rowley V.F. W. Post #5707.
He enjoyed fishing, Formula One racing, repairing his lawn tractors, and doing home projects.
Those he loved include his companion, Diane Drew; and
his sons, James J. Walsh Jr. and Glen M.Walsh, both of Amesbury, and Mark S. Walsh of Nevada; daughters, Marianne L. Walsh of Tennessee and Lisa M. Walsh of Hampton, N.H. He also leaves multiple siblings; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
