Epping, NH — Rosolyn “Roz” A. Gorman, 72, died June 10, 2014 at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover, N.H.
She was born on Aug. 23, 1941 in Danvers, Mass., daughter of the late George Papamechail and Alice (Jones) Begen.
Roz grew up in Danvers. She was predeceased by her husband, Russell Gorman, who died April 14, 1977 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Roz worked as a waitress for several years in Massachusetts and Exeter, N.H. Later, she worked at Head Start in Exeter and as a toll collector for 10 years with the States of New Hampshire and Maine.
Roz was currently a resident of Epping, N.H., and was formerly of East Kingston and Exeter, N.H. and Maine. She was also an avid New York Yankees' fan.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl Matsubara and Mark Torres of Lynn, Mass.; daughter, Lisa MatsubaraRizzo of Virginia Beach, Va.; son, Daniel Gorman of Exeter, N.H.; son, Shawn Gorman of Exeter, N.H.; five grandchildren, Anastasia Southwick, Peter Rizzo, Jr., Daniel Gorman Jr., Athena Gomez Matsubara and Felicia Torres; brothers and sisters, Mary Cloutman, Agnes Jalbert, Grace Nadeau, George “Red” Papamechail, Edward “Sonny” Papamechail, Michael “Johnny” Papamechail, and Richard “Dick” Miller, and many nieces and nephews and their families.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 13, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, N.H.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in the Hillside Cemetery, East Kingston, N.H.
