Minnie W. Robertson, 94


Peabody — Minne (Wetson) Robertson, 94, beloved wife of the late Benjamin G. Robertson, died Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, surrounded by her family.

Born in Shelburne, Vt., she was the daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth (Wilson) Wetson. She was raised and educated in Hamilton and graduated from Hamilton High School, Class of 1937.

Mrs. Robertson had been employed for 11 years as a secretary for the Department of Mental Health in Beverly until the time of her retirement in 1988. She had also worked for many years as the secretary at Christ Church in Hamilton where she was an active member.

Minnie had a love for music and sang both in the choir at Christ Church and with the chorus at Brooksby Village in Peabody where she resided for the past 10 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

Surviving her are two daughters, Bonnie Maquire and her husband, Dale of Ipswich, and Anne Smith of Ipswich; two sons, Douglas Robertson and his wife, Gale of Stuart, Fla., and Christopher Robertson of Peabody; seven grandchildren, Julie, Meg, Jessica, John, Nathan, Chelsea and Colby; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial service will be held at Christ Church, 149 Asbury St., Hamilton, Tuesday, June 17, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. As requested, there will be no visiting hours. Arrangements by the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St., Beverly.
