DANVERS — Mr. John Stuart Sim, 53, of Danvers, beloved son of Robert F. Sim Jr., died unexpectedly on June 13, 2014, at his home in Lynn.
Born in Newton, he was the son of Robert F. Sim Jr. and Georgeanne Davenport. He was raised and educated in Wellesley, Marblehead and Danvers. He was a graduate of Danvers High School.
Mr. Sim had been employed as an automotive technician at several automobile dealerships and repair shops on the North Shore.
John’s true passion in life was automobiles. He loved restoring and working on old and classic cars. He was a longtime resident of the town of Danvers, until recently, moving to Lynn. He will be deeply missed.
John is survived by his father, Robert F. Sim Jr., and his wife Louise of Danvers; his brothers, Edward D. Sim of Salem, Robert P. Sim and his wife, Julia Chaplik of Marblehead, and Charles A. Sim and his wife, Amy, of Bangor, Maine; and many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service in the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., Route 62, Danvers, on Friday, June 20, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Harmony Grove Cemetery, Salem.
