Brooklyn, N.Y. — Raymond Randall Padgett, 51, of Brooklyn, N.Y., formerly of Salem, died Monday at Beth Israel Hospital, Brooklyn, N.Y.
Born in Saugus, Raymond was the son of Robert H. and Joan B. (DeMuele) Padgett. He was educated in Dickerson High School, Jersey City, N.J., before starting a 25-year career in a hair salon in Brooklyn. Raymond enjoyed decorating and going for walks and liked playing Bingo. He loved music especially Dianna Ross, The Supremes, and Cher.
Along with his mother and father, Raymond is survived by his brothers, Daniel Padgett of Salem, Robert Padgett of Italy, John Padgett of Arizona, Chris Padgett and his wife Christine of N.Y.; and his nieces and nephews, Zachary Padgett, Crystal Padgett, Jackie Padgett, and Daniel Padgett Jr.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to visitation, Monday from 5-9 p.m. in the Berube and Sons Funeral Home, 191 Lafayette St., Salem, MA. A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, Hawthorne Boulevard, Salem. Burial will be private.
