San Diego, Calif. — Andy (Andrew) M. Brown, 52, passed away on October 17, at his home in Ocean Beach, Calif. He was surrounded by family and friends. Born in Salem on September 19, 1960, he is the son of Courtney Brown of Danvers and the late Carolyn Rose (Wolocko) Brown. He is survived by three siblings, Warren J. Brown of Salem, Lori Falconieri and her husband Michael of California and Kristen Brown of Danvers; a nephew, Michael; and niece, Taylor Falconieri; an aunt, Jean Sacco; and cousins Linda Dube, Kate, Lisa and Carol Sacco and Beth Sullivan.
He was raised in Danvers and was a member of the class of 1978. He worked at the High St. Shell station while in high school. He spent two years working for the “Mountain” ski resort in Stowe, Vt., and relocated to Ocean Beach in 1984, where he resided for the majority of his life. Andy was employed at Mallory & Son for 20 years in sales merchandising.
Andy was a lifelong sports buff, a member of the Robb Field Gym and active in several fantasy sports leagues.
With a wave and a smile he was an amazing Ocean Beach fixture. He will be greatly missed by the people who stopped by for a friendly chat, as well as his fantasy sports league friends. He had a great appreciation for the facts. Andy took great pride in being a good and compassionate friend to all and will be missed every day.
