MIDDLETON — Miss Lois Catherine Langis 53, of Middleton, died October 29, 2012, unexpectedly, at Beverly Hospital.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of Sally (Alexander) Langis of Middleton and the late Raymond C. Langis. She was raised and educated in Middleton and was a graduate of Masconomet High School, Class of 1976. She attended Northeastern University.
Lois had been employed at Analogic in Danvers and Peabody. More recently she had been employed at Enon Microwave in Topsfield, Sunspot Tanning in Middleton and for the past five years she had been the primary caregiver for her beloved mother.
Lois was a lifelong Jimmy Buffett fan, a loyal Parrot Head, she enjoyed going to Buffet concerts and other live music shows. She was a true sun worshiper who enjoyed tanning, the beach and traveling to Hawaii and Florida. Lois was an avid Red Sox fan and over the years attended many games at Fenway Park. She enjoyed spending her time reading, gardening and had a true love of animals.
In addition to her loving mother, Lois is survived by her sister, Nancy Langis Maynard of Peabody, her brothers, Raymond Langis and his wife Jeanne of Newburyport and Joe Langis of Middleton, her nieces and nephews, Matthew Langis and his wife Lisa of Newburyport, Elizabeth Chateauneuf and her husband Brad of Amesbury, Amy Leary and her husband Terry of Amesbury, Katerine Cote and her husband Michael Cote of Amesbury, Todd Langis and his wife Amanda of Amesbury and Jason Maynard of Peabody, her grandnieces and nephews, Chloe and Quinn Chateauneuf of Amesbury, Max and Sam Langis of Newburyport, Isabelle, Grace and Fiona Leary of Newburyport and Tharen Cote of Amesbury and many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral will be held from the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St. (Rte. 62), Danvers, Saturday at 8:15 a.m. followed by her funeral Mass in St Agnes Church, Boston Street, Middleton, at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends invited, burial in Oakdale Cemetery, Middleton.
