Mark J. Blair, 54


Beverly — Mark J. Blair, 54, passed away on January 11, 2014, after a brief illness. He was the loving son of Louise (Larivee) Blair and the late Cecil Blair. Mark was born in and enjoyed being a lifelong resident of Beverly. After graduating from the University of New Hampshire, he pursued a career in communications and customer service. Mark was an active member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Beverly, and East Gate Christian Fellowship, Salem. He was a dedicated volunteer at Joseph’s Storehouse Food Pantry in Salem. Mark was an avid New England Patriots fan and devoted supporter of Tom Brady. Mark had a passion for music. He was a talented guitarist and singer.

His friends and family will dearly miss and always cherish his amazing voice, clever wit, vast knowledge, and caring nature.

Mark is survived by his mother, Louise Blair; sisters, Mary Blair of Peabody, Mass., Patricia (Arthur) Arnold of Cherry Hill, N.J., and Tracy (Richard) Stoney of Danvers, Mass.; and a brother, Kevin (Jeanne) of Atkinson, N.H. He adored his eight nieces and nephews, Matthew (Jennifer) Arnold of Goffstown, N.H., Elizabeth (Larry) Legg of Suffolk, Va., David (Cristin) Arnold of Cherry Hill, N.J., Katie-Jean (William) Young of Amesbury, Mass., Kimberly Ann (Daniel) Horvath of Plano, Texas, and Brianna, Blair, and Patrick Stoney of Danvers, Mass. Mark was the proud great-uncle of Seamus and Zoey Arnold. He was predeceased by his beloved brother, Brian; and father, Cecil.

ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass will be held at St. Margaret’s Church, 672 Hale St., Beverly, on Saturday, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be at Campbell–Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St., Beverly, North Beverly location, on Friday, from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Beverly.
