BEVERLY — Maryellen Reilly Pisani, 71, beloved wife of Michael J. Pisani of Danvers, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 26, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. She was born in Somerville,and was the daughter of the late Patrick and Bridget (Gorham) Reilly.
Maryellen received both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Education from Salem State College. For 36 years, she taught as a second grade teacher at the Welch School and South Memorial School in Peabody. Maryellen enjoyed skiing at Loon Mountain, playing golf and tennis. She also traveled extensively through the United States and Europe.
In addition to her husband Michael, with whom she would have shared 30 years of marriage in May, she is survived by one sister, Ann M. Lesser and her husband, D. Edward Lesser of Arlington, Texas; two stepchildren, Christine A. Murphy and her husband, Timothy H. Crosbie of Beverly, and Susan J. Hallinan and her husband, Christopher E. of Beverly; four step-grandchildren, Anna J. Murphy, Max C. Murphy, Steven C. Hallinan, and Jeffrey C. Hallinan, all of Beverly; a goddaughter, Kristen Carroll Donovan of Reading, and a godson, Patrick McCarthy of Cambridge. She was predeceased by her former spouse, James Greehy of Peabody.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Richard’s Parish, 90 Forest Street, Danvers, on Wednesday, at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Campbell-Lee, Moody Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, North Beverly, on Tuesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Maryellen’s memory to Boston Medical Center, Renal Medicine, Shapiro Center, 7th Floor Suite 7A, 725 Albany St., Boston, MA 02118.
