Danvers, MA — Helen Tinsley, 88, of Danvers, Mass., died peacefully on January 24, 2014, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House. She was the beloved wife of the late John E. Tinsley Jr.
Born in Salem, Mass., Helen was the daughter of Maryann and Bruno Bartkiewicz. She attended Salem schools, St. John Baptist Grammar School, and graduated from Salem High School, Class of 1943. Helen worked for Sears and Roebuck & Co. in Salem, and in later years, worked at Hotwatt in Danvers. She was a very active communicant of St. Mary of the Annunciation Parish in Danvers.
Helen is survived by her two daughters, Donna and her husband, Joe Francis, and Dorothy and her husband, Dennis Nestle; her grandsons, Kenneth and Adam Nestle; a brother, Theodore Bartkiewicz and his wife, Phyllis, of Peabody; and she leaves many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Edward, John, Regina, and Joseph Bartkiewicz.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to her visitation on Tuesday, in the Mackey Funeral Home, 22 Conant St., Danvers, from 4 to 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated for Helen on Wednesday, at 9 a.m., in St. Mary of the Annunciation Parish, Danvers.
