BEVERLY — Louis M. Grande Jr., 55, affectionately known as “Big Lou,” passed away on Saturday January 25, at Beverly Hospital. Born in Beverly, he was the son of Louis M. Grande Sr. of Beverly, and the late Lee Jean (Torre) Grande.
Lou grew up in Beverly and was a graduate of Beverly High School. Lou worked as a personal trainer and held multiple titles in Massachusetts for power lifting. He was an avid motor cross rider, known as the “Wheelie King.” Lou was also a talented musician, mastering the blues harmonica. He was family man, and took much pride in caring for his father.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his longtime companion, Karen Denault of Beverly; three children, Laurie Grande of Lowell, Louis Grande III and his wife, Jordan, of Dover, N.H., and Anthony Tyler Grande of Beverly; one grandson, Noah Grande; one brother, Anthony Michael Grande and his wife, Toni, of Beverly; one niece, Vanessa Grande; and one nephew, Michael Grande, both of Beverly.
ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial service will be held at the Campbell-Lee, Moody Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, North Beverly, on Thursday, at 1:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
