Beverly — Peter J. Zocco, 54, passed away at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, on Thursday, November 14, with his loving family and friends by his side. Born in Beverly, he was the son of Paul and Dorothy (Fortin) Zocco. He received his education in Beverly and was a graduate of the Claude H. Patton Vocational School, Class of 1977. Peter owned and operated Zocco Construction. Peter loved fast cars and boats, and as an avid boater, he enjoyed spending his weekends on the water with his friends and time spent watching NASCAR racing and drag racing.
In addition to his parents, Paul and Dorothy Zocco, Peter is survived by his loving companion, Diana Coleman and her daughter, Jillian McParland; his three brothers, Paul Zocco Jr. and his wife, Patty, of Bradford, Philip Zocco of Georgetown, and Rick Zocco and his wife, Holly, of Beverly; his nieces and nephews, Amanda, Paul, Allyson, Rebecca, and Dylan; his aunts, Josephine Chmiel and her husband, Chet, and Doris Farrell and her late husband, Jack. Peter is further survived by many cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his uncle, Joe Zocco.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 253 Cabot Street, Beverly, on Wednesday, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be at the Campbell-Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, North Beverly, on Tuesday, from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in North Beverly Cemetery.
