Betty D. (Greenough) Hanlon, 88


BOXFORD — Mrs. Betty D. (Greenough) Hanlon, 88, of Boxford, beloved wife of the late James Hanlon, died, Wednesday evening, December 12th, 2012, at Wingate of Haverhill.

Born in Beverly, she was the daughter of the late George and Dorothy Greenough. She was raised and educated in Beverly and was a graduate of Beverly High School.

Mrs. Hanlon had been employed as a manager at Long’s Jewelers in Peabody for over twenty five years until the time of her retirement in 1989.

A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Betty had been a resident of Four Mile Village in Boxford for the past 18 years. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Betty is survived by her sons, Scott Hanlon and his wife Tracy of Amesbury, Timothy Hanlon of Wells, Maine, and James Hanlon and his wife Anne of Naples, FL, her daughter Brenda Armstrong, her nine grandchildren and her five great-grandchildren.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service was held graveside in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St. (Rte. 62), Danvers.
