Jane F. Cravatis, 77


Beverly — Jane F. (Davis) Cravatis passed away at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers on Friday, March 15, 2013, with her loving family by her side. She was 77 years old. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Francis (Chub) and Dorothy (Hamilton) Davis. She was the beloved wife of George W. Cravatis, with whom she shared 55 beautiful years of marriage.

Born in Salem, she received her education in Beverly and was a graduate of Beverly High School Class of 1954.

She was employed by the United Shoe Machinery in Beverly from 1954 to 1957.

Jane was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and will be remembered as always willing to help and will be truly missed by all who knew her. Above all, she loved her family and cherished the time spent with all of her grandchildren.

She enjoyed gardening, knitting, baking, playing cards with her grandchildren and attending her grandchildren’s activities, which included field hockey, baseball, softball, hockey, soccer and basketball.

In addition to her husband George, Jane is survived by her children: Gregory Cravatis and his wife Lori of Beverly, MA, Kevin Cravatis and his wife Teri of Danvers, MA, Holly Zocco and her husband Rick of Beverly, MA, and Julie Solimeno and her husband Carlo of Beverly, MA; her grandchildren: Samantha and Stephen Solimeno, Cierra, Kyle, Michael, Ty Cravatis and Dylan Zocco. She was preceded in death by her brother Dudley Davis and her grandchildren, Aaron and Amanda Cravatis.

ARRANGEMENTS: A service will be celebrated at the Campbell-Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly (North Beverly location), on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at noon. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, from 4 to 7 p.m. Services will conclude with a burial at the North Beverly Cemetery, Beverly.
