Peabody — Sumner Feinstein, 75, of Peabody died at Kaplan Hospice in Danvers on Friday morning after a brief illness.
Mr. Feinstein was a native of Dorchester, he attended Boston schools, earned his bachelor's degree at Tufts University and his Master's degree from the University of Buffalo. He worked as a chemical engineer for Borden Corporation until his retirement 12 years ago.
A 50-year resident of Peabody, Mr. Feinstein has been serving as the Chairman of the Maple Hill Cemetery in Peabody. He has been an active member of Temple Ner Tamid for many years.
He was the devoted husband of Harriet (Adelberg) Feinstein; beloved father of Karen Fine & her husband Paul Frost, Linda & her husband Robert Gross, Steven & his wife Susan Feinstein, and Scott & his wife Erica Feinstein; cherished grandfather of Samuel Feinstein, Sara Feinstein, Zachary Gross, Rachel Gross and Jonah Feinstein; and dear brother of Arlene & her husband Stuart Rosenberg.
ARRANGEMENTS: Services at Temple Ner Tamid 368 Lowell St. Peabody on Sunday November 11 at 11 AM. Interment in Maple Hill Cemetery, Peabody. Condolence calls may be made following the interment at Temple Ner Tamid until 5 PM, Minyan at 4 PM. Continuing Monday thru Thursday at his late residence 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. with Minyans at 7 PM.
