Bettie (Connors) McGrath


Peabody — Mrs. Bettie (Connors) McGrath passed away peacefully on November 10th, 2012, at Brooksby Village in Peabody.

Sixty-six years of marriage to Edward McGrath were filled with love, laughs and adventures. Bettie and Ed raised their family in Short Hills, NJ, enjoyed summering on the shore in Bay Head, NJ.

In addition to her husband, Bettie is survived by her daughter Linda McDavitt and her husband Steve of Ipswich and her son Edward McGrath Jr. and his wife Virginia of Pt. Pleasant, NJ. Grandchildren include Heather Fontaine & husband Randy of South Boston, Ted McGrath of San Diego, CA, and Tucker McGrath and his wife Courtney of Arlington, VA. Bettie loved life and especially enjoyed being with her family and friends.

She and Ed traveled the world, including their annual winter vacations at the Breakers. Her family and friends reflect back on how Bettie was always fashionably dressed and made any occasion a special one.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral services are private. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St. (rte. 62), Danvers.
