She is survived by sons, George Doonan, Jr. and his wife Mary (Savage), of Peabody, John Doonan, of Taunton, and Joseph Doonan and his partner, Jane Humphrey, of Framingham; daughters, Cathleen Landry and her husband, Thomas, of Peabody, and Virginia “Ginger” Nollet and her husband, James, of Saugus. She is also survived by grandchildren, Catherine and Michael Landry and Patrick, Christine and Gregory Doonan. She was the sister of Leonard J. Agnew, Jr. and his wife, Elizabeth, of West Hartford, Conn., Carol J. Smith, of Intervale, N.H., sister-in-law of Genevieve (Doonan) Tyrell and her husband, Richard, of Winthrop, and aunt of several nieces and nephews. Virginia was predeceased by her son-in-law, Frank Bartholomew. Virginia’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Jewish Family Services of the North Shore, Rosewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Peabody and Hospice of the North Shore for their wonderful and compassionate care.
ARRANGEMENTS: Mrs. Doonan’s Funeral will be held from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., Lynn, on Wednesday at 9 a.m., a Funeral Mass will follow at Sacred Heart Church, Lynn, at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
