Bedford, MA — Frank W. Jennings Jr., 81, of Peabody, passed away in the E.N. Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital, Bedford, Mass. He was the husband of the late Cecilia (Sousa) Jennings.
Born in Hamilton, Bermuda, Frank was the son of the late Frank and Dorothy (Butler) Jennings. Frank joined the U.S. Navy in 1951, and served his country honorably during the Korean War from the U.S.S. Irwin. After the Navy, Frank worked with Cressey Dockham & Co. for more than 40 years. Frank loved spending time with his family and he and Cecilia enjoyed square dancing together.
He is survived by a son, Steven W. Jennings and his wife, Judith, of Peabody, a daughter, Lisa Palermo and her husband, Michael, of Thomaston, Conn.; six grandchildren, Amber, Melissa, Kara, Katie, Daniel, and Abigail; two great-grandchildren, Anthony and Spencer; and several nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by a brother, Lincoln Jennings.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Salem/Peabody line, Saturday, April 27, at 10 a.m., followed by military honors outside the church and a reception at the Holy Ghost Society, 20 Howely St., Peabody.
