Peabody — Marjorie Waring, 94, of Peabody, died on Saturday morning at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold B Waring Sr.
Born in Beersville, New Brunswick, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Rufus and Thomasina (Clair) Glencross. She was raised and educated Canada, later lived in Peabody, then in Bristol, N.H., for over 45 years, before finally returning to Peabody 13 years ago.
While living in New Hampshire, Marjorie spent most of her time with the family business. She enjoyed traveling to Canada, Hawaii and Florida.
She is survived by her three sons, Edward Roads, Harold Waring and Alan Waring, all of Peabody; and also by her five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Glenn Waring.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
