William R. MacGuire III, 74, husband of the late Cynthia (Hatch) MacGuire, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Beverly Hospital. Born in Saugus, he was son of the late William R. Jr. and Helen (Upton) MacGuire.
Bill grew up in Saugus and was a graduate of Saugus High School. Following high school, he was employed for many years as an oil serviceman for Glendale Morton Oil in Revere and a member of the Local 25 Teamsters Union until his retirement. Bill enjoyed reading, cars, and anything mechanical. He also loved to play cards, target shooting and hunting. Bill had a sweet tooth and a love for dark chocolate.
Surviving him are two daughters: Shannon Weagle and her husband Eric of Bridgton, Maine, and Alicia MacGuire Attardo and her husband Sam of Ipswich; two stepsons: Tommy Jeannotte and his wife Susan of Ipswich and Michael Jeannotte of Danvers; one sister: Alice Bentley of Saugus; three grandchildren: Francesca Attardo of Ipswich and Isabelle and Mikey Jeannotte of Danvers, and a large extended family. He is predeceased by a sister: Helen Volkmann.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held at the Campbell-Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly (North Beverly Location), on Wednesday from 4 to 7 P.M. A funeral service will be held immediately after the visiting hours at 7 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
