Salem, MA — M. Constance "Connie" F. (Berube) Carr, 79, of Salem, passed away Wednesday evening in Salem Hospital following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Retired Salem Firefighter Arthur Carr to whom she had been married to for 54 years at the time of his death in 2006.
Connie was born in Salem, the daughter of the late Armand and Marie Anna (St. Hilaire) Berube. She had been employed as a librarian's assistant for the City of Salem Schools before retiring in 1994.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna Carr of Danvers, and Debra Young of Beverly; one granddaughter, Erica; three great-grandchildren, Alex, Olivia, and Elijah; many nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews; and also her devoted friends, Jay and Ann Dunne of Salem. Constance was the sister of the late Lorraine Partaledis.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass in St. James Church, Federal Street, Salem, on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem.
