Elvin V. Lundstedt, 91


Marblehead — Elvin V. Lundstedt, 91, of Marblehead, formerly of Lynn, passed away on December 5, 2013. He was the husband of Belle (Carew) Lundstedt with whom he shared 64 years of marriage. Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late John O.M. and Bella (Appleby) Lundstedt.

Raised and educated in Lynn, he was a graduate of Lynn English High School, class of 1940. Elvin was an apprentice at the General Electric Company in Lynn prior to enlisting in the United States Navy serving in the Philippines during WWII. Following the war he returned to the GE retiring as a manufacturing engineer in 1986.

He loved all aspects of woodworking completing many projects for family and friends. He also enjoyed growing tomatoes, trips with Belle to Ogunquit, ME, and dancing at the Gerry.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, John A. Lundstedt and his wife Kristin of NH, Alan Lundstedt and his wife Elisabeth of OH, and Janet Lundstedt of Rowley; and five grandchildren, Emily, Connor, Stacy, and John Lundstedt, and Corinna Gold. He was also the brother of the late Evelyn Vaughn, and John I. Lundstedt.

ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral service will be held in the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home, 142 Elm St., Marblehead on Tuesday, December 10, at 11:30 a.m. Burial to follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
