Beverly — Virginia (Colacey) Powers passed away on Friday at the Hathorne Hill in Danvers, she was 91. Born in West Roxbury, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Leonilda Colaizzi. She was the beloved wife of the late Warren F. Powers, who passed away this past January. Together they were married for 68 years. Virginia was devoted to her family and especially enjoyed time spent together.
Virginia is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Powers of Beverly, and Polly LeBlanc and her husband, Ron, of Danvers; her grandchildren, Shellie Fisher and her husband, Cory, Scott Shairs and his wife, Kate, Eric Shairs and Amy Gilman and her husband, Glen; great-grandchildren, Zoe, Owen, Noah, Cala, Presley, Matthew, Addison, Quinton, Madeline, and Stella; a brother, William Scotti and his wife, Bobbie, of Florida, and the late Albert Colacey; and many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 253 Cabot St., Beverly, Wednesday at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Campbell-Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, North Beverly. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Beverly.
