Salem — Mr. Hipolito Velez, 80, of Salem beloved husband of Dulce Maria Velez, died July 2, 2013, at the North Shore Medical Center, Salem Hospital.
Born in the Dominican Republic, he was the son of the late Adolfo and Ignacia (Velez) Raposo. He was raised and educated in the Dominican Republic, and immigrated to the Untied States in 1982, settling in Salem where he has since resided.
A dedicated and hard-working employee, Hipolito had been employed in various shoe factories throughout the North Shore.
A loving husband, father and friend, he will be deeply missed.
In addtion to his loving wife, Hipolito is survived by his daughters, Sarita Almionte, Rosanna Sanchez and Stephanie Velez; his sons, Nelson Velez, JuanVelez, Bradley Velez, and Luis Yovanny Velez; several grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and extended family here in the U.S. and back in the Dominican Republic.
ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral service will be held graveside in Greenlawn Cemetery, on Saturday, July 7, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited.
