BEVERLY — Marilyn Blake Chick, 75, passed away on Monday, July 1, at the Essex Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Beverly. Born in Natick, she was the daughter of the late Russell W. and Pearl M. (Cameron) Chick.
Marilyn grew up in Beverly and was a graduate of Beverly High School. She also grew up on Balch Lake in Wakefield, N.H., and many of her family members continue to enjoy to this day. She owned and operated her own beauty salon, and then worked in manufacturing. Marilyn was a hardworking and independent woman with a great spirit. She lived with Multiple Sclerosis for many years, but never let it get her down. Marilyn loved her family and celebrated life at every opportunity. She received special care and devotion from her siblings and especially her sister-in-law, Louise, and her brother, Russell, who where always there to help and get Marilyn what she needed.
Surviving her are five children, Christine Sharp and her husband, Jim, of Beverly, William “Eddy” White and his wife, Theresa, of Hudson, N.H., Glenn White and his wife, Lisa, of Peabody, Michelle McCullum and her husband, Donald, of Dover, N.H., and Ernest Bouchard and his wife, Debbie, of North Carolina; one brother, Russell Chick Jr. and his wife, Louise, of Wakefield, N.H.; one sister, Barbara Donnelly and her husband, Bob, of Beverly; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild and two on the way; along with several nieces and nephews and her companion of 25 years, Harry Stone.
