Salem — Philip J. Sciascia, age 68, died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, December 24, 2012. Born in Winchester, Philip was the son of the late Peter and Margaret (Robbins) Sciascia. He was raised in Winchester where he attended public schools. Following his education, Mr. Sciascia entered the United States Army and served his Country during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Sciascia will also be missed by his friends at American By Products of Lynn where he worked until his death. He was a driver for the company. He enjoyed fishing and cars and his dogs Lilo and Taz-Taz.
Surviving him are his son, Kevin Sciascia of Salem, his grandson Kaleb Sciascia, and his former wife, Pamela Doyle of Danvers. He also had four sisters and two brothers.
ARRANGEMENTS: Mr. Sciascia’s Funeral will be held on Thursday at 1:00 P.M. at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St. (cor of North St.), Salem. Visiting hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
