MIDDLETON — Miss Amanda Marie Muzichuk 31, of Middleton, died January 10, 2013, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, surrounded by her family, following a battle with brain cancer.
Born in Danvers, she was the daughter of Paul Sr., and Michelle Anne (Darisse) Muzichuk of Middleton. She was raised and educated in Middleton and was a graduate of Masconomet Regional High School, class of 2000. She continued her education at Merrimack College, where she earned her degree in psychology. Amanda was a lifelong learner and had been currently working toward her degree at Northern Essex Community College.
Following her graduation from college, Amanda volunteered a year of her life with the AmeriCorps program. Having been able to assist those families affected by Hurricane Katrina and she resided in the Denver area helping those less fortunate than herself. Her kind and giving spirit will always be remembered and carried on through her help of others.
A cancer survivor since the age of 9, Amanda defeated Leukemia and felt it was part of her life’s mission to help others battling the disease. She volunteered much of her time to the American Cancer Society.
Never one to be stifled by a challenge, Amanda was very independent and enjoyed her life to the fullest. Her caring and giving nature was evident through her life’s work and desire to help others. She was dedicated to her family, friends, education and helping others in any way possible. She will be deeply missed and always remembered.
Amanda is survived by her parents, Paul and Michelle Anne (Darisse) Muzichuk Sr. of Middleton; her brothers, Paul Muzichuk Jr. of Bradford and Peter Muzichuk of Middleton; her paternal grandmother, Nellie (Bleczinski) Muzichuk of Middleton; her maternal grandparents, Lionel and Rose Marie Darisse of Middleton; her aunts and uncles, Rene and Cheryl Darisse of Hudson, N.H., Brian and Nicki Darisse of Pelham, N.H., Ronald and Vikki Darisse of Salem, N.H., Charles and Orlena Darisse of Haverhill, Linda Parker of Middleton, John and Susan Muzichuk of Middleton, Carolyn Ceres of Middleton, Dian and Jack Anderson of Middleton, Joan and Jeff Garber of Middleton and Susan Moore of Middleton, many cousins and extended family and friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral will be held from the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St. (Rte. 62), Danvers, Monday, Jan. 14th at 9:15 A.M., followed by her funeral Mass in St. Agnes Church, Boston St., Middleton, at 10 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial is private. Visiting hours Sunday, Jan. 13th, from 2 to 6 P.M.
