Peabody — Michael C. Lignos, 64, died peacefully at his home on Saturday, January 19, 2013, surrounded by his loving family and close friends.
Michael was the son of the late Charles and Kalliope (Zolotas) Lignos. He is survived by his wife, Kim (Bento) Lignos, with whom he was together for 39 years; his brother, Stanley and his wife, Judy; his loving niece, Kelly and her husband, Mark Kavonian and their children, Daniel and Stephanie who he loved dearly, and a beloved aunt Maria Pappas.
Michael was a lifelong resident of Peabody. He was the co-owner of Tremont Auto Sales with his brother, Stanley for more than 42 years.
He will be missed by the many friends he made during his lifetime. Michael was a very generous person and a loyal friend to all who knew him.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by his funeral service at 10 a.m. in St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, Paleologos St., Peabody. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4–8 p.m. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
