Swampscott — passed away on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2013, after battling a degenerative condition.

Beloved wife of the late Bernie Kline. Dear daughter of the late Josiah and Ida (Brown) Razin. Devoted mother of Alan Kline and his wife Darlene of Lynn, Howard Kline and his wife Chris of Cambria, CA; Susan Kline of Swampscott, Judy Kline and her husband Andrew Barriskill of Baltimore, MD. Loving sister of Marvin Razin and his wife Christine of Fayetteville, NC, and sister-in-law of Diana Razin of Lynn and her late husband Alan Razin. Cherished grandmother of Cody Kline, Daniel Kline and his wife Celine, Todd Kline and his wife Megan. Adored great-grandmother of Joshua Kline.

After graduating Chelsea High School Bobbie moved to Lynn, MA, where she met her late husband, Bernie, at the Jewish Community Center. Bobbie supported Bernie as he built the Lynn Ladder & Scaffolding Co. She established bowling leagues at the King's Lynn Lanes which Bernie also owned. For her devotion to the sport she was inducted into the Candlepin Bowling Hall of Fame.

She was active in Temple Beth El Sisterhood throughout her life where she chaired the Landscape Committee.

She devoted her life to her husband, children and grandchildren. Bobbie loved traveling with family and friends and enjoying her second home in Jaffrey, NH.

Bobbie was an avid collector of Heisey glass and a number of her unique pieces will be donated to the Heisey Museum in Ohio.

Her exuberant personality and positive outlook will be missed by everyone who knew her.

ARRANGEMENTS: A Funeral Service will be held at the Stanetsky–Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin St, SALEM, on Monday, January 28th, 2013, at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Cong. Shirat Hayam Cemetery, Beth El Section, Lowell St, Peabody. Following interment friends and family are invited to gather at the Jewish Community Center of the North Shore, 4 Community Road, Marblehead, MA. On Tuesday, January 29th, friends and family are invited to the home of Susan Kline. In celebration of her life donations may be made to the Bernie and Roberta Kline Fitness Center at the Jewish Community Center, 4 Community Road, Marblehead, MA 01945.

H. Gerard Donohie, 84

Danvers, MA — H. Gerard “Gerry” Donohie, 84, of Collegeville, Penn., and formerly of Danvers and Peabody, Mass., died on Friday, June 14, after a short illness. He was the loving husband of Patricia (Kelley) Donohie. He was born in Philadelphia, Penn., on May 2, 1929, and was raised there, graduating from Villanova College. He had been in sales with the Jet Engine division of General Electric in Lynn for over 30 years, prior to his retirement. He had first resided in Peabody, where he had been a member and past president of the Peabody Jaycees, and later moved to Danvers. He enjoyed boating, and had been a member of the Squares-in-Focus Square Dance group of Peabody. He and his wife, Pat were active members of St. Mary of the Annunciation Church in Danvers before moving back to Collegeville. Jerry enjoyed history and traveling, and he and his wife, Pat had traveled to over 100 countries. He is survived by his wife, Pat of Collegeville; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Paul and Audrey Donohie, Mark Donohie and John Dohohie; a granddaughter, Elicia Donohie; and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Eileen Donohie- Hall and the brother of the late Paul Donohie and Rev. John Donohie.

Isadore 'Izzy' Schorr, 87

Peabody — Isadore "Izzy" Schorr, a lifelong resident of Peabody, entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 17, at the age of 87 years. He was born on November 1, 1925, in Montreal, Canada, and moved to Peabody, Mass., with his parents and sisters during the Depression of the 1930s. He was the son of Sam and Celia Schorr. He was educated in Peabody and graduated from Peabody High School in 1942. He was a veteran of World War II, and served with the U.S. Army in Europe and saw action in the Battle of the Bulge.

Salem — Joseph A. Tache, 78, passed away on Father's Day after a long, courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. In his last months, he worked out with his friends at the Salem YMCA, shoveled snow, and cut the lawn in lieu of being on bed rest. He was adored by his wife, Juliana and his five children, Joseph, John, Jerry, Juliana, and Jennifer, and his grandson, Jack.

Boxford — Parmelia "Pat" Stoughton Willard de Winter passed away June 15, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital after a short illness. Born in Hartford, Conn., on November 23, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Howard A. Willard and Virginia McCray Miller Willard. Pat, or Patsy as she was known then, was raised in Wethersfield and West Hartford. She was predeceased by her twin brother, Palmer Southworth Willard, her youngest brother William Leslie Willard and her older brother, John Bleveny Willard.

Manalapan, Fl — Mrs. Athena “Tina” (Varoutsos) Scangas, 101, of Manalapan, Fla., formerly of Swampscott and Lynn, died on Thursday June 13, 2013, at the JFK Medical Center, Atlantis, Fla., after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Paul Scangas, the founder of West Lynn Creamery and Richdale Dairy Stores.

Emil Szmyd, 83

Peabody MA — Emil Szmyd, 83, of Peabody, died Saturday at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Theresa (Lewicki) Szmyd, who died in 2006. According to family legend, Emil’s mother, Victoria Szmyd, a native of Newmarket, N.H., gave birth to him on the steps of the U.S. Embassy in Poland on May 20, 1930. He later immigrated to the U.S. in 1950, after being raised by his grandmother while Russian and German soldiers occupied his village of Lubla, Poland, during WW II. After reuniting with his family in the U.S., Emil learned how to repair houses from his stepfather and became an electrician. He joined the IBEW Local 259 in Salem, later retiring from Local 103 in 1992. He worked all over the North Shore. He was also the vice president and an active member of the Polish Falcons Nest 188 of Salem. He enjoyed playing cards, watching birds, playing harmonica, and being with his grandchildren. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his children, Edward Szmyd, Richard and his wife, Catherine Szmyd and Robert and his wife, Tara Szmyd all of Peabody; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Maggiemae, Isabella, and Rose Szmyd; his sisters, Irene, Marilyn and her husband, Ron; and his cousins, Walter, Oleshia, Joe, Tadeck, Statia, and Teresa.

Peabody MA — Nancy L. (Hall) Thraisvoulos, 80, of Peabody died peacefully Thursday evening at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. She was the loving wife of 56 years to retired Peabody Firefighter Theodore “Teddy” Thrasivoulos. She was born in Salem, Mass., and was the daughter of the late Elmer W. and Leola (Goodwin) Hall. Raised in Salem, she graduated from Salem High School. In 1957, she entered and won the Miss Salem beauty contest. Nancy loved to sew and take trips down to Salem Willows. She was an avid fisherwoman and enjoyed surfcasting in the waters at Plum Island and Martha’s Vineyard. She also loved to travel to Europe, and had gone to Bermuda five times on Mother’s Day. Her most enjoyment was in the raising of her two children.

Donald Edward Prisby, 83

San Diego, CA — Don was born and raised in Beverly, Mass., the only child of Edith and Edward Prisby. He attended the University of Idaho, graduating Phi Beta Kappa. He married the love of his life, Marie T. O'Conor of Peabody, Mass., on Mare Island in San Francisco on September 10, 1952. He proudly served as an officer in the U.S. Navy for 27 years before retiring in 1977 when he, Marie, and their children moved to San Diego. Don was employed by the City of San Diego in Parks and Recreation, preserving open space for 14 years. He was an avid fan of the Padres and was an active parishioner of the Mission San Diego de Alcala. He spent many hours volunteering at the Franklin Elementary School, at the Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital and was a Docent on the USS Midway. He is survived by children, Kathleen Damon (Wallis) of Virginia Beach, Eileen Prisby of San Diego, Patricia Fumagalli of San Diego, Donald E. Prisby Jr. (Elizabeth) of Plymouth, Minn., Liz Andrews (Bruce) of Sunset, S.C., and Edie Lufkin of Ipswich, Mass.; and grandchildren, Christopher, Stephen, Andrew, and Caroline Damon, Anthony and Dante Fumagalli, and Michael, Matthew, and Mitchell Prisby.

Hogan and Audrey (Bernardi) Hogan of Peabody. He graduated from St. Mary’s of Lynn and Merrimack College. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he was employed as a teacher in the Middleton and Peabody school systems. Ed then owned and operated Olde Salem Contractors of Danvers for over 25 years.

Peabody, MA — Jennie (Goulos) Andrian, 94, of Peabody, died Thursday at the Mass General Hospital, Boston after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Harry Andrian with whom she shared over 50 years of marriage. A lifelong resident of Peabody, she was the daughter of the late George and Caliope (Papuchis) Goulos and was educated in the Peabody School System. Jennie was an active member of St. Vasilios Church and belonged to the Philoptohos Society. She loved to sew and enjoyed casinos and taking trips to Foxwoods. Jennie and her husband enjoyed traveling and taking cruises but her pride and joy in her life was watching her grandson, Harris, grow into adulthood. She was also very fond of her pet pug, “Gus.” She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Chris Grevelis of Peabody; her cherished grandson, Harris Grevelis of Salem; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late Napoleon Goulos and Frances Goulos.
