Gerald J. Starion


Lynn — Mr. Gerald J. Starion, age 76, of Lynn, died suddenly at home on Monday evening. He was the beloved husband of Shirley A. (Collins), with whom he shared 54 years of marriage.

Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Samuel Starion and Rita (Morin). He was a graduate of Peabody High School, Class of 1954.

Prior to his retirement in 1999, Gerald spent over 23 years as a supervisor for the General Electric Co. of Lynn. He was also a well known Master Plumber in the Lynn area for many years.

Gerald was a longtime communicant of Saint Pius V Parish and was a 4th Degree Member of Valladolid Council #70 Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the A.E.G. Management Association. An avid sports fan, he was a former Little League coach. Gerald greatly loved traveling and above all, spending time with his family and his beloved dog, Tinkerbell.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his three sons, Kevin John Starion and his wife Jane of Salem, Jeffrey Chester Starion and his wife Tammy of Peabody and Sean Craig Starion of Salem. He also leaves his half sister Pamela Ciosek of Peabody. Gerald was the loving Grandfather to Emily Ann Starion, Sarah Grace Starion and Dylan Allen Starion.

ARRANGEMENTS: His Funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St., Lynn, on Friday at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Pius V Church at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment at Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting Hours Thursday 3-7 PM.
