Bob enlisted in the Navy in 1951, and served during the Korean War. Upon his return, Bob enrolled at Salem State College, earning a bachelor’s in history, and then went on to earn his degree in law from Boston College.

Bob enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, and entertaining his grandchildren with his wry sense of humor. He particularly enjoyed spending his summer vacation in Rangeley Lakes, Maine. It was a tradition that first began with his parents, then continued with his own children and grandchildren.
