Josephine Tron, 94

Peabody, MA — Josephine Tron of Peabody, formerly a longtime resident of Malden, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, in the North Shore Medical Center in Salem, she was 94. Born in Chelsea on January 7, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Boleslaw and Wladyslawa (Pieckoski) Zielinski. Josephine graduated from Bates High School in Middleboro with the Class of 1934. On March 21, 1942, Josephine married her sweetheart, John A. Tron, in Inglewood, Calif. The couple spent over 56 years in marriage and love together raising and caring for their family until John’s passing in January of 1999. Josephine worked in various jobs throughout her long life but some of the most memorable were as a cigar roller in Boston from 1938 to 1942, a general worker at a Lockheed aircraft plant for the World War II effort in California from 1943 to 1944 and as a worker on the assembly line at Schrafft’s Candy in Chelsea. Josephine was a proud member of the DAV Auxiliary, Bay State 1.

Josephine is survived by her daughters, Christine Tron of Peabody and Nina Talalayevsky of Salem; her granddaughter, Tatiana Talayevsky of Lynn; her sister, Alexandra White of Chelsea; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Josephine was preceded in death by her siblings, Joseph Zielinski, Stanley Zielinski, Helen Kodzis, John Zielinski, Mitchell Zielinski, Frank Zielinski and Charles Zielinski.

ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden, on Saturday, August 3, 2013, at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church, 770 Salem St., Malden, at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow in the Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden.

Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Friday, August 2, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m.
